His first start on turf was a game third place finish in the Jumeirah Guineas Trial. He followed that up with a second in the main event next up, the Jumeirah Guineas at Meydan. His season ended with a rewarding third place finish in the Jumeirah Classic (L) on Super Saturday at Meydan. A star performer in the Turf series this season, unfortunate to bump into the Godolphin star Legend Of Time, in all three events. Legend Of Time has been sent to the USA where he just won a Gr2 event at his first start. ATHAN heads into his four-year old season still lightly raced and with plenty improvement to come after a debut season in the UAE. It is a well-known fact that horses improve into their second season in Dubai. ATHAN is enjoying a break in the off-season which will freshen him up and allow him the benefit of being prepared for the start of the Carnival races.
