With the rejuvenation of South African horse racing, in particular in the Western Cape, the Gulf Racing Club will be making their first South African purchases at the up and coming Cape Sales Ready To Run. The auction will be taking place on October 29th, with the breeze ups scheduled for the morning of the main event. With the recent EU audit being completed, South Africa are hoping that a direct export protocol will be announced between the country and the European Union. This will play right into the hands of the Gulf Racing Club as the intent is to export high level racing horses over to Dubai to race in the “Carnival” and then export them onwards to Australia, in particular our Melbourne base with the Griffiths De Kock racing yard. This is an exercise currently being utilised with both Magical Land and Albion Square competing in Victoria, after being exported from Dubai.
